Producer Swizz Beatz will be honored by New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg for his philanthropic work at tonight's The STAT! For New York City's Public Hospitals! Gala Benefit at the Bellevue Hospital Atrium. Swizz Beatz has also signed up to help promote the upcoming "Guns Down, Life Up" campaign. A portion of the proceeds from the benefit will help launch the program, which denounces gun violence in the city. Sheila E., Doug E. Fresh, Questlove of The Roots, and Kangol Kid will be some of the faces at tonight's event.
