2 Chainz has been through transformations and grinding for a minute. Back in 1997, he was one-half of the Playaz Circle and known as Titi Boi. Since then, he’s released seven solo mixtapes and changed his named.

"I have to realize it's a revolving door as far as me investing in myself," he tells Billboard.com.

Dropping a new Gangsta Grillz mixtape Nov. 1 called T.R.U. REALigion, with DJ Drama hosting, the College Park rapper hopes this project will showcase his tenacity.

The 27-year-old says, "My whole campaign is believing that I got this far by being independent and, at the same time, being true to myself."

Although this is his eighth mixtape, Chainz is still without a label. Seemingly not bothered, he says “you can just feel is real — whether checking the résumé or not." As he sees it, he’s just getting started. T.R.U. features Raekwon, Birdman, Young Jeezy and Kreayshawn.
