Trey Songz and Ne-Yo Perform at NYC Benefit Concert

Trey Songz and Ne-Yo perform at NYC benefit concert. Proceeds from the show will go towards Songz's Angels With Hearts Foundation.

Trey Songz recently threw a benefit concert Friday night for his Angels With Heart Foundation in New York City. The show, which took place at the Hammerstein Ballroom, was sponsored by Hot 97 radio station and featured Funkmaster Flex as the night's DJ.

Songz started off the night singing songs including "Love Faces," "Good Feelings" and "Invented Sex." Even Ne-Yo popped up to help the singer perform their track "The Way You Move" before taking over the show for a few songs. Ne-Yo then treated the audience to "One in a Million" and his part from Pitbull's "Give Me Everything."

The Angels With Hearts Foundation encourages those who have, namely successful people and businesses, to give back to underprivileged youth.

"This is something bigger than myself," Songz told the audience. "I realized I have the power to impact lives, and it's time to send that love back into the world. Every dollar from tonight’s show will go to my foundation."

The night ended with Songz performing "Top of the World" while lighters and cellphones swayed in the dark.

"I get to see people all around the world who love my music, but don’t have shoes to wear," he explained to the audience before his mom walked on stage to drape a black shirt with angel wings over his shoulders. "Give it up for the woman who made this possible, ya’ll have no idea what I’ve been through."
