Ne-Yo, Swizz Beatz Do Their Part for Charity

The artists will help raise money for cancer research at star-studded annual event.

The war against cancer just got a couple of entertaining allies: Ne-Yo and Swizz Beats will appear at Songs of Hope VII, the annual fundraising event to benefit City of Hope, a leading Los Angeles cancer treatment center. The exclusive event will celebrate the accomplishments of songwriters and composers, and will be held in New York City at the 2011 Esquire Apartment: The Clocktower Loft in DUMBO. Attendees will participate in a silent auction, and be treated to performances from Skylar Grey and Sara Bareilles. Ne-Yo will host the evening, and several celebs will receive awards. Swizz Beatz will be presented the American Express Award for Innovation Excellence in Music.

The host committee includes Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Mary Mary, Miley Cyrus, Gavin DeGraw, John McEnroe, Patty Smyth and Rob Thomas. Past performers include Stevie Wonder, Jermaine Dupri, Will.i.am, Babyface and Lionel Richie.
