California Medical Board orders Dr. Conrad Murray to turn over certificate.
After being convicted of manslaughter last November, Dr. Conrad Murray is seeing his medical career fall right over a cliff. The L.A. via Houston doctor has just been stripped of his medical license by the Medical Board of California.
The board has officially notified Dr. Murray that his license has been suspended, effectively banning him from practicing in the state, TMZ reports. The penalty is par for the course anytime a doctor is convicted of a felony.
Murray, 58, was sentenced to four years in prison for the involuntary manslaughter of pop music icon Michael Jackson on November 29. The sentence, handed down after a high-profile trial and conviction, is the maximum allowed under the law.
