Nicki Minaj Delays Release of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded

No Valentine’s Day treat for Nicki Minaj fans.

There will be no love for Nicki Minaj fans who were expecting the rapper’s sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, on Valentine’s Day.

To the disappointment of her loyal followers, Harajuku Barbie announced on her Twitter page this weekend that the highly anticipated album would be released in April rather than next month.

“New Album Date: April 3rd. Pink Friday: ROMAN RELOADED. But have no fear. Tons of surprises before then ;). Love Always, HB,” Minaj wrote.

Back in November, Minaj told her Barbz that the follow-up to her platinum-selling debut, Pink Friday, would arrive on February 14, 2012, and it would feature a heavy dose of her troublesome alter-ego, Roman.

If everything had gone according to plan, the Queens MC would have been super busy in the days leading up to her now-delayed album release. Minaj, who is nominated for Best New Artist as well as Best Rap Album, is set to make her debut Grammy performance on February 12, in Los Angeles. Nicki is among a stacked performance line-up that includes Rihanna, Coldplay, Adele and Bruno Mars.
