The hip hop icon denies reports his daughter assaulted him.
Though she was arrested over the weekend, Flavor Flav wants to make it clear that his daughter is no criminal. The hip hop vet has come forward to say that the domestic dispute that led to her arrest was just a big misunderstanding and that she didn't beat him up.
"The whole thing was a big misunderstanding that shouldn't have happened," he said in a statement to TMZ. "No one in my family called the cops on my daughter and she did not beat me up."
However police were alerted, and when they arrived on the scene they reportedly found evidence that Flav's daughter, Dazayna Drayton, had inflicted bodily harm on someone in the household. Under Nevada state law, they are required to take the suspect in such cases into custody.
Despite the drama, Flav said there was no love lost between him and his little girl.
"I love my daughter and will never let anything happen that could come between us," he said.
