Snoop Dogg Busted for Marijuana Possession in Norway

Airport authorities detain the rapper for packing 8 grams of weed.

Snoop Dogg has been all around the world and it seems wherever he goes his love of cannabis seems to get him into trouble. In his most recent incident, he was busted in a Norwegian airport early this morning for packing 8 grams of weed.

According to TMZ, the Doggfather himself was caught passing through customs of the Kjevic Airport entering the country to perform at the Hove Festival later tonight [June 28]. Lucky enough for him, anything less than 15 grams simply constitutes a fine, making this incident only a minor delay. His fine was for 12,000 Norwegian Krone, which is equivalent to $1,980.13 in the United States.

This is only the latest in Snoop’s string of weed troubles with authorities around the globe. In, 2006 he was arrested for possession of weed, cocaine and a gun in Burbank, California. In 2007, the Long Beach, CA, native was held in Stockholm, Sweden, on suspicion of using illegal drugs. That same year he was also banned in the UK (the ban was eventually lifted last year)  for his role in an airport scuffle. In 2009, Snoop was sued by Middle Eastern concert promoter Roger Kalaouz for over $280,000 after smoking weed at a concert in Beirut, Lebanon.

This past January, marijuana was uncovered on Snoop’s tour bus at a border control check point in Sierra Blanca, Texas, and he was issued a citation for misdemeanor drug possession. It is not likely that Norwegian authorities will take further action against the Grammy Award-winning rapper for this offense.
