Police charged the Harlem rapper with attempted robbery following brawl with two photographers.
Picture this. Harlem upstart A$AP Rocky was arrested late Thursday night in downtown Manhattan after he purportedly tussled with two men who attempted to snap shots of him.
According to TMZ, Rocky (born Rakim Mayers) was having a verbal altercation with someone when two men began to snap shots of the incident. The "Peso" rapper then turned his attention to the photogs and a fight ensued. When police arrived on the scene, the two picture-takers were reportedly beaten up pretty badly by Pretty Flaco and his A$AP Mob — one photog required further treatment at a nearby hospital.
Rocky was taken into custody and charged with attempted robbery, though it is unclear what he attempted to steal during the tussle.
This is not the first time the rapper has been involved in fisticuffs. As previously reported, the A$AP Mob was recently sued by a stage manager for injuries he sustained during a wild brawl at SXSW music festival in 2011. Earlier this year, during their return to SXSW, the Harlem crew clashed with unruly audience members.
