Jay-Z to Executive Produce NBA 2K13 Video Game

The Brooklyn emcee continues to diversify his business ventures.

Jay-Z has proven his business acumen as record label executive, fashion label CEO, music festival organizer, Broadway musical producer and professional sports team owner, but now he's trying his hand at a new gig in an unexpected arena: executive producer of video games.

Hov has been announced as the EP overseeing the next installment of 2K Entertainment's popular NBA 2K series, NBA 2K13.

A trailer and poster announcing Jay-Z's involvement in the game was posted on his e-zine Life + Times. Although It is not exactly clear what executive producing a video game means in this case, so far Jay's Brooklyn Nets haven't been given any special treatment. The game’s cover features Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls, Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers.
