Wiz Khalifa's sophomore album O.N.I.F.C. (Only N***as in First Class) will be taking off a little later than scheduled. The LP has been moved to a September 18 release date from a previously announced arrival of August 28.
Wiz broke the news in an interview with Fuse, in which he also clued in fans on what they can expect from the follow-up to Rolling Papers.
“It’s really the highest level of what people expect from me. People know me for a lot of different things, they know me for making big hooks, they know me for picking dope ass beats, they know me for spittin’. This album is really gonna portray all of that in the best way possible," he said. "If you never heard rap before in your life and you listen to O.N.I.F.C., you’re gonna be like, ‘I’m a fan of that.’"
If you can't wait until mid-September for a new Wiz project, fear not. The Taylor Gang leader will release Live in Concert, a joint mixtape with Curren$y and a follow-up to their 2009 collaboration, How Fly, on August 9.
