As one of hip hop's biggest stars of the past few years, Drake has a growing list of accolades to his name. But there's still one distinction that has eluded the 25-year-old: His high school diploma.
A child actor on popular Canadian teen series Degrassi: The Next Generation from the age of 15 to 22, Drizzy never finished high school. But now that he's on a break from recording albums and touring, the Toronto native has decided to finish what he started.
"I’m actually spending my summer graduating high school," he said in a recent interview with Now Toronto. "That’s my main focus after OVO Fest. I only have one credit left, and I’m really excited about that."
Drake isn't the only Canadian breakout star to go after his high school degree this year. In July, Justin Bieber graduated from St. Michael Catholic Secondary School in Stratford, Ontario, after taking courses electronically.
