Chris Brown Leaves Girlfriend for "Friendship" With Rihanna

Breezy makes it official after his marathon hang-out with Rih Rih in New York.

After months of rumors, Chris Brown has split from his girlfriend of nearly two years, model Karrueche Tran, and Brown says it's because of his "friendship" with Rihanna, who's he's been seen with cavorting all over New York the past few days.
"I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don't want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna,” Brown said in a statement. “I'd rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives."

Brown finally made official what many observers had suspected all along, as reports that he's been getting cozy with Rihanna in New York kept pouring in. Last night, the pair attended the Jay-Z concert together at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The night before, they were seen together at a Manhattan nightclub, where multiple witnesses say they danced together, kissed, disappeared to the bathroom and then left together. Brown has also been seen leaving Rihanna's Meatpacking District hotel, the Gansevoort, twice this week.
The reports come weeks after Rihanna told Oprah Winfrey that she still loved Breezy — despite the infamous Grammy night assault that caused the pair's split back in 2009.
Meanwhile, Brown's and Tran's Twitter feeds have been hinting at the split for days. "There's a difference between a man and a boy ... I prefer men," Tran tweeted on Tuesday. She later wrote, "Take off...bye baby." That same day, Breezy tweeted, "Both r free from it all."
Brown and Tran may be free — but is Rihanna?
