Monica already released one album this year, but the R&B diva isn't wasting time prepping her next. The 31-year-old singer is in the beginning stages of working on new music and was reportedly in New York earlier this week meeting with her label RCA Records.

Monica's sixth album, New Life, was released in April and entered the Billboard charts at No. 4. The record included collaborations with Rico Love, Missy Elliott and Polow Da Don, in addition to Jermaine Dupri, Salaam Remi and others.

After visiting with RCA CEO Peter Edge, Monica said she was energized to get back into the studio again.
