R. Kelly Announces 100 More Chapters of "Trapped in the Closet"

The Pied Piper says the series is "forever."

When R. Kelly premiered the Trapped in the Closet series in 2005, fans instantly became addicted to the drama-ridden songs and soap opera narratives. In 2007, the series came to a halt, leaving viewers curious and thirsty for more. However, Kelly recently revealed to Time that he is ready to pick the series back up and give his fans what they've been waiting for.

"We just shot 20 chapters," said Kelly. "They'll be coming out the day after Thanksgiving. 'Trapped in the Closet' is forever. I've got like a hundred chapters to come."

In general, the Pied Piper is taking his music back to his roots, focusing on "bedroom ballads," storytelling and baby-making hits.

"I decided to go back and do an old-school R. Kelly album like 12 Play," he confessed. "That's pretty much what it's going to be, focusing on more of the bedroom ballads. I like to give people variety and I just gave them two years of romance albums and Soul."

The 45-year-old singer is currently on his Single Ladies Tour, which will run until early December. He clearly has no plans of slowing down, only aspirations of lengthening his legacy as one of the kings of R&B.
