Cee Lo Green has been having a telling season as a judge on The Voice. The multi-talented artist and mentor was the only coach with three contestants still standing at the beginning of Tuesday's show. However, his protoge, Cody Belew, was voted off by the end of the night, which made Cee Lo let America know how his journey was a testament to his skills.
"People need to remember this: Nobody turned around for Amanda Brown but me. Nobody turned around for Cody Belew but me. Nobody turned around for Nicholas but me," he explained to the Hollywood Reporter. "So, four of my people were in the remaining. What does that say about Cee Lo Green?"
The celeb didn't stop there though in singing his own praises. He put it out there that his eye for talent needs to be the center of a new music reality competition.
"You know what they need to do? They need to go a Cee Lo Green spinoff of The Voice called The Total Package because, ultimately, that's what it boils down to," he said. "People want to see a complete thought. Concept, creativity, charisma, character, charm, conviction, connection — you've got to have all of it."
The "F--- You" crooner has a reputation for helping his contestants create well-rounded performances, which often involve a lot of stage production. There's no word whether or not Green will actually move forward with his show idea. Nonetheless, he still has more contestants to usher through season three of The Voice.
