Not settling to be one-upped by the upcoming HBO documentary starring his superstar wife, Beyoncé, rap impresario Jay-Z has released his own doc about matters dear to his heart.

Posted on his website, Life & Times, the 24-minute piece, Where I’m From, follows Jay as he prepares for his epic eight-show run at the newly opened Barclays Center in September. The Brooklyn-born MC describes the moment as "the craziest f--- s--- you’ve ever seen" as he watched construction workers transform the massive arena into his own personal playground.

Hov christened the billion dollar state-of-art entertainment cathedral with performances for the record books and the highlights are captured in the short film. The doc also catches him during one of the most touching moments of his career, when he rides the train to the arena and introduces himself to a sweet passenger oblivious to his star power.

Check out the full doc here.
