Like a lot of people, Frank Ocean is having some family drama this holiday season. But unlike most people, Frank's drama involves $1 million.
The rising R&B star revealed on Twitter last night that his father, with whom he is estranged, is attempting to sue him for $1 million.
"Father wanna sue me for a million. Like I owe him back child support," Ocean wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted. "Weak individual bought me a swiss knife at 6yrs old then dipped on me."
In subsequent tweets, Ocean ruminated on the issue in typical stream of consciousness style.
"I got his DNA though, maybe I inherted some of his karma too," he wrote, later adding "Time to devise some new accountability standards."
A fiercely private individual, not much about the singer's family life is known.
Frank Ocean's debut album, Channel Orange, peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. He was recently nominated for six Grammy awards.
