J. Cole's Born Sinner Delayed

Rapper won’t release his sophomore album on January 28.

J. Cole is kicking off 2013 with news that fans may not want to hear: Born Sinner, the Grammy-nominated rapper's sophomore album, will not be released at the end of this month as previously planned.

In an interview before his New Year's Eve performance at the Tao nightclub in Las Vegas, Cole revealed that he isn't going to make the January 28 deadline he set for himself back in November.

"It's not gonna make January 28, it's gonna be a little later than that," he said. "I needed a little more time than that to get things done."

Cole, who previously said he experienced "very little stress" making the album, had hoped to release on January 28 since that date also marks his 28th birthday.
