Pharrell may not have ended up judging NBC's The Voice, but the Grammy Award-winning super producer is doing the next best thing. According to E! Online, Voice judge Usher has recruited Pharrell to serve as a guest coach.

The Star Trak founder will join the reality singing competition during the so-called "battle rounds," where contestants face off against one another in do-or-die singing matches.

"A master of his craft, an artist, an innovator. Who better to have on my team than Pharrell?" Usher said in a statement. "His ability to nurture and develop talent is invaluable and will truly benefit each and everyone on my team."

The fourth season of The Voice premieres Monday, March 25 on NBC.
