Rihanna Nixes Boston Show Due to Laryngitis

The singer apologizes to fans via Twitter.

Rihanna's going to need a couple days in a California king bed. The singer had to cancel a concert yesterday after she contracted laryngitis.

Rih Rih was scheduled to perform at the city's TD Garden, but promoter Live Nation postponed the show yesterday morning, releasing a statement that read, "Unfortunately, following her sold-out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor's instruction is unable to perform this evening." She is scheduled to play Baltimore on Tuesday, and that show is still scheduled to go on as planned. The Boston show will be rescheduled.

The Barbadian superstar also broke the news to her "Navi" fan base via Twitter. "BOSTON this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we've been waiting on this day forever, and I'm hurt that I let you down," she wrote. "I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I'm so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!"
Hopefully she's being served plenty of chicken noodle soup and hot tea "Christopher," which is how her boyfriend, Chris Brown, identified himself to a 911 operator after totaling his car last month, according to TMZ.
