Rihanna "Swatted" by Prank Callers

Police swarm singer's California home.

Rihanna is now a victim of the celebrity "swatting" trend. A prank caller sent cops to the Bajan beauty's Pacific Palisades, CA, home Thursday (April 4).

Someone placed a 911 call claiming that one person had been shot, and two armed men were inside the residence. Once on the scene, authorities concluded that the shooting report was all a hoax.

Having police swarm her house adds Rih Rih to stars the likes of Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and Diddy, who have all been swatted within the last several months. Diddy became a target earlier this week.

The LAPD is well aware that hackers are targeting celebrities, but must continue to respond to the fake emergency calls. "We take all these call seriously," LAPD spokesman Bruce Borihanh told the Huffington Post. "When we catch this person we will prosecute them."

Police confirmed that Rihanna wasn't home at the time of the incident. The 25-year-old is  currently on her Diamonds World Tour, which hits San Jose, CA, tomorrow.
