Big Sean Speaks on Kid Cudi Departure

The Detroit MC says strong bond with former G.O.O.D. Music label mate will remain.

Big Sean has no hard feelings towards former G.O.O.D. Music label mate Kid Cudi.

Cudi announced his departure from Kanye West's Getting Out Our Dreams imprint last week.

Big Sean was stopping by L.A.'s Power 106 radio station to premiere his new single, "Switch Up," when asked about Cudi. Sean had nothing but nice words.

"Cudi is not only just my label mate, he's one of my good friends," Sean said.

The two are so close that they even share jewelry, he explained.

"The Jesus piece Kanye gave all of us, I lost my Jesus piece, messing around, and he [Cudi] gave me his. That's my brother. Cudi's on my album. Me and him [are] making music together, we [are] still [a] crew, whether he's G.O.O.D. Music or not."

The strong bond remains intact even though Cudi didn't discuss his decision with Sean before cutting ties with their label. The "Guap" rapper found out about the news on Twitter.

"That's his business, he ain't gotta call and let everybody know what he's doing business wise," Sean said.

No mention from Sean whether the music they are making will come from Cudi's new focus, his own label, Wicked Awesome.
