Kendrick Lamar Announces good kid, m.A.A.d. city World Tour
Looks like it's going to be a m.A.A.d. summer for rookie sensation Kendrick Lamar, who has just released the dates for his good kid, m.A.A.d. city World Tour.
With fellow Black Hippy members Jay Rock, Ab-Soul and ScHoolboy Q in tow for most of the dates, K.Dot will play more than 60 shows between May 5 and late August. The global trek will pick up when his college tour, which began this weekend, ends.
After wrapping up his final stretch of college shows on May 6, the Compton wunderkind will hit a few festivals before the real roadwork will commence.
Beginning May 22 at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, the "Poetic Justice" MC will embark upon a tour schedule that reads more like that of an NBA team's than a musician's.
The tour will make its way east throughout the month of June, before heading down South and eventually back West, where the "Good Kid" will conclude the U.S. leg of his run in front of his hometown fans at the first annual BET Experience in Los Angeles.
After that, the famed freshman will take his talents overseas, jumping from one festival to another, before finding his way back stateside – Chicago – where he will play in front of an estimated 75,000 people at Lollapalooza. Finally, he'll finish a jam-packed three-month run with more festival dates in the UK and the Czech Republic.
All told, the GKMC Tour will visit 15 countries, playing 22 international festivals in addition to 15 festivals here in the U.S.
