Meth accuses "Thrift Store" rapper of jacking his move.
During a show in Denver just over a week ago, Meth lashed out at Macklemore, referencing an MTV performance where he walked atop a sea of fans. "I was watching MTV not too long ago and there was a rapper on stage," Meth told the crowd. "This mothaf---- had a lot of energy and was really enjoying his performance. I think his name was Macklemore.
"Don't get me wrong, that mothaf---- can rhyme, but as I'm watching his performance I think this mothaf---- [did] something that just pissed me off. He actually tried to walk on top of the crowd. I started that s--t!That's my s--t!"
Going a step further, Meth encouraged Denver fans to bring the pain — literallly — to the 29-year-old the next time he attempts the move. "When Macklemore come to your city, ya'll show him all the love ya'll show Red and Meth. But if that muthaf---- tries to do my walk on the crowd thing, I want Denver, Colorado to drop his a-- like a bad habit!"
As it turns out, Meth isn't the first person to crowd walk. The honor goes to rocker Iggy Pop, noted for popularizing the stage routine, most notably during the 1970 Cincinnati Pop Festival.
