Treach Releases "Tall Midget" Diss Record
One day after kicking Vin Roc out of Naughty By Nature, Treach has put his feelings to rhyme. Late Tuesday (May 7), the rapper released "Tall Midget," a diss record lambasting his former group member once more.
The chorus alone ("Industry rule number 100 is funny, tall midgets get short money") is enough to seal the deal, but Treach wasn't finished with the slander. He peppered more disdain throughout the two-minute release, alleging that he was Vinnie's ghostwriter, accusing him of "starving for press," and being "a bagel away from Barney."
Oddly enough, comparing his onetime friend to a children's character isn't nearly as childish as the diss record itself, but Treach has clearly reached a boiling point.
In an interview with All Hip Hop, he further placed the blame on Vinnie's ego. "We never wanted to be the groups that couldn’t resolve our issues,” he said. "Nobody is larger than the group. We always fit [Vinnie] in even if there wasn’t a spot for [him] to fit in. You will never see Vin do a Naughty show [alone], because he can’t. Me and KG (the groups DJ and hit-making producer) can do this for the rest of our lives. I don’t work for nobody."
As for Vinnie, he could care less about the 42-year-old's attempt to boot him from Naughty, tweeting an interesting argument: "I'm waking to drama. Spoke to my publicist. Silence is Golden. In the meantime Business 101: You can't Fire the Owner."
