"The Road to Hot 97 Summer Jam" series continues.
Over the last 20 years Hot 97 has made Summer Jam one of the biggest hip hop festivals in the country, and this year they have made it their mission to give fans even more.
With some help from Pepsi and Loud Digital, they have released "The Road to HOT 97 Summer Jam," an 8-part Web series dedicated to letting the fans behind the curtain to see just how much work goes into putting on one of the biggest shows on the planet. If you missed the episode 2 premiere last week, click here.
On this week's episode, catch up with Donyshia, Ebro and DJ Enuff as they figure out how to overcome a slew of other festivals that are announcing lineups with the artists that Summer Jam has booked. Donyshia starts to get a little freaked out at the abundance of "knock-off" festivals when Ebro points out, "We have the biggest hip hop party on the planet." Nevertheless, Donyshia wants to move up the pre-sale and announce the artists earlier.
Then the episode follows DJ Enuff, who worries that he may have bit off more than he could chew with one of the promotions he's doing with Pepsi. Will he be able to make it happen? Then, the pre-sale gets a serious jolt when Chris Brown drops a bomb on Twitter, announcing that he's going to be a part of Summer Jam XX. See how they respond when the demand for tickets skyrockets.
