The R&B crooner plans to make his return to music this fall with Appreciation Day.
It's been more than a minute, but Jaheim is back with a new single, a new album and a contest that is sure to make this Mother's Day extra special.
On his new single "Age Ain't a Factor," Jaheim, who's somewhat a veteran himself, pays tribute to the sexy older ladies, letting them and their younger competition know that age is only a number!
This fall, the "Could It Be" crooner will be dropping his full-length comeback album, the aptly titled Appreciation Day. He’s released a statement directed at his loyal fans that have been waiting for him to drop some new music since his last release in 2010, Another Round.
"It's been so long since I've had a chance to create music from my heart for the fans that have loved and supported me from the start," the statement read. "I decided to call the project Appreciation Day because that's exactly what this album is. My show of appreciation to them. It's a feel good album with very special messages hidden in every song. I'm looking forward to this journey with my fans."
In addition to new music, Jaheim and his label, Atlantic Records, are conducting a Mother's Day giveaway, which will provide one lucky fan and their mother an all-expenses paid weekend that will culminate at the Mother's Day Music Festival in Atlantic City. The May 11th festival will feature Jaheim along with fellow soul singers Charlie Wilson, El DeBarge and others.
"It was important for me to do something special for the mothers out there. These ladies give of themselves all year round. I'm just sorry I couldn't make the day beautiful for every woman everywhere," Jaheim said of the contest.
