Chaka Khan Denies Rehab Spat With Lindsay Lohan

Singer admits to seeking treatment alongside troubled actress.

Chaka Khan did not have a feud with Lindsay Lohan while in rehab, the singers says. Khan and Lohan both completed stints at Malibu's Cliffside facility this summer.

On her website, the Grammy winner confirmed reports that she sought treatment for an addiction to pain pills, but denied a Radar Online story claiming bad blood with the troubled actress. "I applaud Lindsay Lohan for doing the work," she wrote. "She is a lovely young lady and I pray for her well-being."

The two also exchanged loving tweets.

Khan has long been open about her battles with substance abuse. Further in her statement regarding Lohan, she spoke to the difficulties of being an addict. "The battle of addiction is a serious and long process, which is why I chose to address my use of prescription medications —which came about as a result of the knee surgery I had a few years ago. "

According to the Radar report, Lohan was "doing stupid stuff for attention" causing an alleged confrontation with Khan. "Chaka told her she was childish and told her to grow up," an ex-patient told the site. "She never lost it, but started yelling at Lindsay. Told her to knock it off, asking her if she came to rehab to get well, or just to piss around.”

Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in rehab following a string of legal troubles, and she now appears to be getting her career back on track.
