The Jay Z-curated event, headlined this year by his wife, Beyoncé, attracted tens of thousands of fans to the historic Benjamin Franklin Parkway — and some got too hands-on with Rocky. Apparently, he responded in kind.
According to the complaint filed with the District Attorney's office, the "F---in' Problems" collaborator was dancing in the crowd during his set Saturday (Aug. 31) when some of the female fans began tugging at his shirt. He tried to fend off the fashion killas with an open-handed slap that landed on the face of one woman, who has been described as a young mom.
The woman is claiming that Rocky hit her with such force that she's suffered from whiplash.
This isn't the first time that Rocky (birth name Rakim Mayers) has faced assault charges and a rowdy crowd since he's risen to fame. He was charged with assault after an altercation with two amateur photographers in 2012, and earlier that year he tried to defuse a brawl that broke out during an A$AP Mob set at SXSW.
