Kanye West Unhappy with Grammy Nominations

"F--- those nominations!" West says during Phoenix show.

If giving Kanye West only two Grammy nominations was meant to elicit a negative response from the Chicago rapper, then the folks over at the Recording Academy accomplished their mission.

'Ye addressed the pair of nods he earned last week during his Yeezus tour stop at the US Airways Center in Phoenix Tuesday (Dec. 10) night, and was less than excited about the recognition he earned in the Best Rap Album (Yeezus) and Best Rap Song ("New Slaves") categories.

In pondering the snub, West settled on a racial discrimination theory, explaining that he has 21 Grammys ("The most Grammy of any 36-year-old," he pointed out), but tends to lose against specific artists. "Out of all those 21 Grammys, I’ve never won a Grammy against a white artist,” West said.

"Yeezus is the top one or two album on every single list but only gets two nominations from the Grammys," he continued. "What are they trying to say?  Do they think that I wouldn’t notice? Do they think that, someway, that I don’t have the power to completely diminish all of their credibility at this moment?"

Try as they might to rattle his foundation, West remains unshakable. "When you see me talking about what people are doing when I say 'marginalized,' when I say 'boxed in'  when I say 'hold back,' when I say 'people are afraid of the truth,' that’s one example right there in front of you," he concluded.

Just in case his feelings weren't clear enough, West yelled "F--- those nominations!" and the crowd went wild.
