Justin Bieber is back on the streets. He was released from a Florida jail Thursday afternoon (Jan. 23), after being brought in for a DUI, resisting arrest without violence, drag racing, and driving on an expired license.
According to TMZ, law enforcement sources say that Bieber had a 0.04 blood alcohol level, and he's not even legally old enough to drink — which is an automatic license suspension kind of offense in Florida.
And it wasn't just alcohol in his system when he was drag racing. "[Justin] made statements he had consumed some alcohol, been smoking marijuana, and consumed some prescription medication," one officer said in a news conference.
When asked about the prescription meds he's on, Bieber dropped dime on his moms, saying he's not sure, he just takes whatever she gives him for his anxiety.
As for the driver of the red Lamborghini — which is actually now being reported as a red Ferrari — he's been identified as Def Jam-signee Khalil. The model, Bieb's passenger, is Chantel Jefferies, a self-described "eyebrow connoisseur."
Police spotted the Biebs in a residential neighborhood after leaving a nightclub, driving a yellow Lamborghini with a model in the passenger seat. He was given a sobriety test at the scene and failed. The driver of the car he was racing — a red Lamborghini — was also arrested.
Just last week, on the other side of the country, his friend Lil Za was arrested twice in 24-hours, once at Bieber's Los Angeles home, where authorities raided and took him in for drug possession. That raid was prompted by a call about Bieber egging a neighbor's house — to the tune of $20,000 worth of damages.
Za was then arrested again for vandalizing a phone at the police station.
And that's only the first month of 2014. There were similar antics that found his friend Lil Twist in trouble last year as well (sometimes involving Bieb's Ferrari); and it's gotten so hot in paradise that Bieber has threatened retirement.
Bieber is still under investigation for the egging. This was his first arrest.
