DMX Talks George Zimmerman Fight

Darkman X confirms, "It's not a done deal," but he's considering fighting for charity.

DMX has his driver's license again, and he's riding around and getting interviewed about this messy George Zimmerman celebrity boxing match.

"I was challenged," he told a Fox News affiliate. "I haven't really decided if I'm going to do it, but if I did do it ... whatever money was supposed to go to him, would have to go to charity."

Previously, X seemed adamant to participate. "I am going to beat the the living f--k out of him. I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I f--k him right up."

Although a bit more hesitant, now, he's still confident. "I will gladly beat the s--t out of him," he said.

And size doesn't matter. "When you fight with your heart, you're always going to win," he added. Darkman X weighs in at 6 feet, 160 pounds. Zimmerman, shorter at 5 feet 7 inches, weighs in at 204 pounds.

Celebrity Boxing promoter Damon Feldman, who is arranging the invite-only fight out of concern for Zimmerman's safety has indeed promised that proceeds will go to charity. What portion of the proceeds, he's yet to announce.

Approximately 15,000 people responded to the call for a Zimmerman opponent he's one of the most controversial figures to have gained headlines last year, after he shot and killed a 17-year-old, unarmed Trayvon Martin, and then was acquitted of murder.

"If he gets beat up, I gave the country justice," Feldman told the Philadelphia Magazine. No word yet on how he believes the country will feel if the opponent gets beat up. Zimmerman promises he's been training.

In addition to DMX, Feldman has considered Game as a possible opponent. He and Zimmerman are closer in age (Game is 35 to his 31, DMX is 43), but the Compton rapper wanted too much money, Feldman told The Grio. Zimmerman has also attempted to draw out Kanye West, so far to no avail.

Darkman X seems the likeliest contender, that is, if this idea of Zimmerman boxing as a "celebrity" makes it past public scrutiny and petitioning

Meanwhile, X wants to make it clear, "No, it's not a done deal yet, it's not a done deal."
