50 Cent: I Wasn't Invited to My Son's High School Graduation

Sources close to the rapper detail why he didn't attend ceremony.

50 Cent didn't attend his eldest son's high school graduation because he wasn't invited, TMZ reports.

Marquise Jackson earned his high school diploma from a private school in Atlanta over the weekend and noticeably missing in action was the G-Unit mogul. Sources claim Fif, birth name Curtis Jackson III, has been telling friends that he had no information regarding the time and location of the graduation, despite covering his son's tuition at the school.

After the ceremony, the younger Jackson, or his mother Shaniqua Tompkins, was believed to have posted the following Facebook message: "Yea I broke down. I was really excited to see my pops at my graduation but he never showed up smh. My sister and mama is always there for me just know that you wasn't. I did it without you!"

The statement included a photo of mother and son embracing, but the teen's sister now says the Facebook page is a fraud.

Even with a phony social media account, Fif and his son's strained relationship appears to be very real. The 38-year-old father of two, who has a younger son from another relationship, typically blames Tompkins for why he and his first born aren't on good terms. He has never publicly taken responsibility for his role in potentially contributing to ongoing family troubles.

Last July, the Queens, NY, native allegedly disowned his older son via test message, a conversation that he claims was actually with Tompkins posing as the child.
