Memorial Day weekend isn't going according to plan for Wiz Khalifa. The rapper was arrested at a Texas Airport for marijuana possession Sunday morning (May 25).

TSA officials found what was described as a "green leafy substance" in Khalifa's possession, according to TMZ. The 26-year-old was trying to catch a flight from El Paso to Dallas following a performance at the Neon Desert Music Festival Saturday. He was taken into airport custody and then arrested by local authorities.

Police say that the Taylor Gang leader had 0.5 grams of weed on him. He was booked on possession of less than two ounces of marijuana with a bond set at $300, KTSM.com reports.

Khalifa broke the arrest story himself because he was allowed to keep his cell phone behind bars. He tweeted a "Jail Selfie" early this morning, along with an epiphany about his 28 Grams mixtape. "I wanna drop 28 grams but they got me locced up. Soon as I get out, the tapes comin out. F--k that."

The "We Dem Boyz" spitter also added, "They're tryna figure out how many grams I had. How ironic." Naturally, all those tweets birthed the #FreeTrapWiz hashtag, followed by even more posts from Khalifa (at press time, he was still tweeting).

Khalifa is an avid weed connoisseur and he's been busted for Mary Jane before. In April 2012, he threw a "marijuana cigarette" out of a Nashville hotel window when authorities came to his room. He owned up to tossing the joint and admitted to having close to four grams of marijuana in his pocket. Authorities issued him a citation for the incident.
