Rapper will bring along "Anaconda," and more new music from The Pink Print.
Look out Barbz, the "Anaconda" is coming to the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.
Nicki Minaj will perform her new single live for the first time during the awards show later this month, plus more new music from her upcoming studio album, The Pink Print. "The VMAs is a pretty big deal so people go all out for it," she said. "I'm very excited and looking forward to the performance."
Minaj released "Anaconda" a week ago as the second single off The Pink Print. The song topped iTunes, making 31-year-old Minaj the first female rapper to nab the No. 1 spot as a solo act.
There could be another VMA surprise in store, one that's so big, it might just make the Barbz and Bey Hive spontaneously combust. Beyoncé and Minaj are rumored to be performing their "Flawless (Remix)."
Viewers will have to wait a couple more weeks to see if Minaj and Bey will take the stage together, or if she'll wear the pink thong and bra ensemble from her cover art.
The VMAs will air live from the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., Sunday, Aug. 24.
