The Carters are ready to push their On the Run experience to another level. After hitting the road together this past summer, Jay Z and Beyoncé are gearing up for a joint album, this according to Los Angeles radio personality DJ Skee.
Skee says he confirmed the news via two sources close to Jay and Bey. “They’re working on an album together,” he said during his Dash Radio show Tuesday (Sept. 16). “We all know what Jay Z did with Samsung last year, we all know Beyoncé came out of nowhere [with a surprise album release], but this secret would top all of them, even that new U2 album.”
There’s no question that music’s first billion dollar couple is as powerful together as they are apart. Mr. and Mrs. Carter's On the Run tour grossed $100 million in three months, and the couple just taped a tour special to air on HBO this Saturday (Sept. 20).
A rep for Jay Z did not respond to a request for comment on the album story.
