A suspect has been identified in the shooting of Suge Knight this past August, but police face a major hurdle in making an arrest. 
According to TMZ, a review of surveillance footage and the accounts of several eyewitnesses point to one man who likely shot Knight six times at Sunset Strip hotspot 1OAK, but cops still don't have a figurative smoking gun to press charges. The controversial rap icon was hospitalized and had to have surgery following the shooting.
Part of the problem is that neither Knight nor many of the partygoers at the club that night are willing to talk to cops about the events leading up to and following the shooting. LAPD investigators are still looking for a credible witness who can corroborate the evidence they do have.
So, for now, it looks like Knight's shooter is one step ahead of the law.
