There’s no slowing down The-Dream. The newlywed is busy working on two new EPs, Crown and Jewel, to be released this year.
Crown, which features the T.I.-assisted single “That's My S**t!,” makes its debut on March 31, followed by Jewel at a later date, Vibe reports. Both projects will come out on Dream’s Contra Paris label and return the Radio Killah with his partner in making hits, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart.
According to the talk with Vibe, the mini-albums show different styles. “Crown is more modern R&B, and Jewel will be more what you might think of as my songwriter side, the songs I might have given to other artists before,” he said. “If you put me in a box, Jewel is more what you get when that box is open. But I’m not limited by any box I’ve been put in — every year I’m expanding and growing, and it makes for a more interesting plot.”
Fans will have to wait to see if the EPs lead into a full-length studio album this year. Dream's last album, IV Play, arrived in 2013.
