Pharrell to Guest Star on The Simpsons
America's favorite animated family gets a visit from Skateboard P next month. Pharrell is slated to guest star as himself on The Simpsons in a special episode that tackles the starving artist struggle.
Based on a true story, the plot focuses on a composer who is hired to make a city-pride songand winds up shopping the same tune to multiple municipalities, including Springfield.
Lisa, of course, steps in to save the day, alongside Pharrell, who "offers to write a new anthem for the town,” the show's executive producer Al Jean said.
Currently in its 26th season, the program still holds its place as the longest-running American sitcom. Former musical guests include 50 Cent, Cypress Hill, Lenny Kravitz, Ludacris, Sonny Rollins and Bart Simpson himself (as "Bartman").
Pharrell's episode, "Walking Big & Tall," airs Feb. 8. His hat will also be featured.
