TDE CEO/Founder: Jay Rock’s New Album Is Coming

Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith says rapper is going hard in the studio.

Kendrick Lamar is far from the only TDE signee putting out new musicJay Rock’s long-awaited sophomore album is reportedly on its way, according to a tweet from Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith.

Tiffith went on Twitter over the weekend to drop updates on the project, reassuring fans that Rock has been heavy in the studio “working his a** off” to give his “best” music offering to fans. “Be patient,” he added.

Back in 2013, Rock was pondering a Beyoncé-style surprise release. “It's just gon' drop," he told BET.com. At the time he was projecting a 2014 debut, but that date has long since passed. Still, he was working heavily on the album back then, judging by Tiffith’s tweets and his own statements. "I been in the lab just going hard," Rock said. "I know everybody been wanting to know what's up with the Rock."
