Hernandez, a former New England Patriots tight end, was convicted of first-degree murder this morning for the 2013 shooting of Odin Lloyd. But with no murder weapon, Budden feels like the jury decision was unjust. “Guilty based on all circumstantial evidence…..Interesting,” Budden tweeted. “The appeal is already filed."
Some agreed with the New Jersey native, others, not so much. "Ur an idiot,” read one tweet, while another questioned why Budden is even speaking on legal matters. "Joe Budden watched the whole Law & Order: Criminal Intent series last night and got on the TL tweetin bout what's legal and what's not.”
Another person sarcastically added, "I can beat a murder charge with Joe Budden Attorney at Law."
Budden isn’t the only rapper to weigh in on the Hernandez verdict. Bun B tweeted about it too, and he definitely doesn't share the same viewpoint. “Hernandez guilty. So sad," Bun wrote. "Threw his career and future away. Lloyd Family gets justice but it's bittersweet. Hernandez's loved ones lose too."
Hernandez, 25, was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
