Lil Wayne: There Ain’t No Such Thing as Carter 6
Last week, Young Thug released his mixtape Barter 6 via 300 Entertainment/Atlantic Records. And Lil Wayne is still not happy about it.
Currently, Weezy is on his Sorry 4 the Wait 2 Release Partiez Tour and has made it his mission to address Thug’s bold strategy of naming his next project after his famed Tha Carter series. "Y'all let him know I said, 'F**k 'em'," Wayne said, breaking his silence at his Jackson, Miss., stop earlier this month. “Stop listening to songs of n****s who pose naked on their motherf*****g album covers."
It seems like Tunechi isn’t done talking. During his Columbus, Ohio, appearance, he took a breather from his set to talk about Thugger once again.
“If there were any other albums that dropped recently, tell ‘em ‘Suck my d**k.’ Carter V coming soon. There ain’t no such thing as Carter 6,” he said. “And anytime you book them b***h a** n****s to come up in these mothef****r. Before they say one word, you let ‘em know Tunechi said, ‘Suck my d**k.’”
The divide between Cash Money and Young Money is widening each week. Young Thug's first single off the project, "Constantly Hating," prominently features Birdman, who almost looks like he found his new spiritual successor in the Atlanta rapper. To add more insult to injury, Thug held a listening and cocktail party in celebration of Barter 6 on Weezy’s turf (Hollygrove, New Orleans) over the weekend.
This could get even uglier quick.
