Premiere: Jermaine Paul Drops Debut Single 'Working Sista'

'The Voice' winner drops a funky homage to career chicks.

Singer Jermaine Paul is saluting the working women of the world with his debut single, "Working Sista," his first since winning the second season of NBC's The Voice.

Like a funked-out update on Ne-Yo's "Miss Independent," Paul courts career chicks, singing: "You're working hard sista/How can I get witcha?/Teacher, administrative assistant, doctor, lawyer... I'd like to get to know you better."

It's been a long time coming for the crooner who notably dropped guest vocals on Alicia Keys' 2004 hit "Diary," and later nabbed a Grammy nomination for his duet with Keys, "If This World Were Mine." Paul's new single, which hits iTunes tomorrow (June 9), is the first taste of his debut album Make Love Save The World, set for a Sept. 8 release.
