Vic Mensa Releases New Freestyle, 'Heir to the Throne'

And he might be taking shots at Travi$ Scott.

Are Vic Mensa and Travi$ Scott beefing?

KanyeToThe.com was first to point out that Mensa threw some shade at HotNewHipHop for mentioning him next to “funny style n****s” in an article they wrote about “No Chill” and “3 AM” in June. Fast forward to today, and the Chicago rapper released a tough freestyle over Notorious B.I.G.’s “Who Shot Ya?” He titled it “Heir to the Throne,” paying tribute to his new home at Roc Nation and saluting its historic run during the Roc-A-Fella days.

At around the 1:40 mark, Mensa splices in Scott’s “Straight up!” ad-lib around these raps, “Couple rap n****s you done thought that we was crew / Real life n****s was corny, what can I do / Rich boy rappers get the notion that they tough / You a Cheddar Bob you better shooting yourself.”

Neither Scott nor Mensa have spoken on it, so maybe it’s all speculation. But we’ll keep you posted if they start trading diss tracks.
