Meek Mill may have started it, but Drake put a swift and decisive end to their ongoing beef on Sunday, when he trotted out Will Smith — the prodigal son and biggest star to ever come out of Meek's hometown of Philadelphia — at his OVO Fest in Toronto.
This genius move in the art of trolling has the internet high-fiving Drake and basically counting down the days left in Meek's career. Not only did Drizzy, by all accounts, win the battle of the diss tracks, he's been gleefully throwing shade at Meek all week. That he got the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star all the way north to attend OVO Fest — regarded by many as the festival's best year since its inception in 2009 — pretty much leaves no question as to who's on top.
To be fair to Meek, Smith's attendance at OVO likely has more to do with the fact that he and Drake are reportedly collaborating on new music than a direct affront to his Philly brother, but that in itself is a point in Drake's favor.
In any case, it seems we can all declare an end to #MeekMillVsDrake and hope that Meek comes out of this alive.
