Update: Lupe Fiasco Accepts Yasiin Bey's Battle Rap Challenge
UPDATE: Yasiin Bey and Lupe Fiasco won’t be going rhyme for rhyme in what could’ve been a very entertaining lyrical bout. According to the Brooklynite, his video battle call wasn’t supposed to get out to the world. "It was a private opinion made public. That's a violation," he said.
Since Bey apparently never wanted to battle, Fiasco’s request is denied by default. Sorry Lupe.

PREVIOUS: Drake and Meek Mill started something.
Yasiin Bey put out a rap battle challenge to any MC willing to step up, naming himself, Black Thought and King Los as the illest lyrical competitors in the game. “Me, Black Thought and King Los vs. anybody…battle anybody I don’t care who you tell,” he proclaimed. “Red Bull Music Academy, put up a mil on that and we’ll give our winnings to charity and take your money, too. Tired of these dudes pretending like they dope. You alright but relax.”

Bey seemingly thrashed the Drake and Meek battle with his next comment. ”We don’t have to do make no back and forth corny records about it, we can put it on its feet for the world to see,” said Bey. “We’ll battle anyone, I don’t care who you tell. That go for any set, any time. Champion sound, for real, so let’s go. The word is out.”
Lupe Fiasco heard the call and he’s throwing his name in the ring.
This should be interesting.
