If you're a recording artist on the rise and looking for the next hot producer to partner up with, look no further than the Remy Martin “Producers Series” in New York City. The showcase and competition has provided, over the past couple of months, a platform for rising stars and veteran hitmakers to come together and exchange ideas, share critiques and learn something from one another.
Salaam Remi, Just Blaze and Mike WiLL Made It are just some of the big names who took part in the series over the summer, and this weekend the event came to a close at Stage 48 in midtown Manhattan. Charlamagne Tha God played emcee and superproducer AraabMuzik manned the booth for the festivities, with the latter offering his advice to the group of promising young producers.
“You’ve just got to trust your instincts and push yourself,” he said. “All of these guys have to know that the sky is the limit.”
As for who took home the event's top honor, that would be French producer SoulTronik (pictured below), who beat out 19 other finalists for the crown.
We're sure we'll be hearing more from him soon.
