Chris Brown Tells Fans He's Going to Australia Despite Ban

Breezy's visa at risk because of his domestic violence past.

Chris Brown may not get to enjoy any Foster's or Vegemite this year. The singer will reportedly be denied entry to Australia for a series of shows due to his domestic violence record. But Breezy told fans the show will go on despite the media reports.

Brown posted a comment to fans on his Instagram encouraging them to ignore the news.

“Don’t listen [to] the bulls---,” Brown wrote in a now deleted Instagram post. “We gone party.”

Australian authorities have formally warned Brown, who is scheduled to play four big shows in the country in December, that they intend to consider refusing his visa application, Immigration Minister Peter Dutton said in a statement Sunday.

MUSIC STARS DENIED ENTRY INTO OTHER COUNTRIES

Breezy now has 28 days to present material convincing the authorities to let him in, but it seems the effort may be futile given another government official's public statement last week.

"People need to understand — if you are going to commit domestic violence and then you want to travel around the world, there are going to be countries that say to you, 'You cannot come in because you are not of the character that we expect in Australia,'" Minister for Women Michaelia Cash said Thursday.

Oz isn't the first country to ban Breezy. The United Kingdom and Canada have both rejected him on similar grounds. Earlier this year, Floyd Mayweather Jr. was denied entry to Australia for his domestic violence record, though stars like Sean Penn and Mel Gibson — the latter of whom even assaulted an Australian reporter this past March — appear to be welcomed Down Under.

Double standard, or nah?
