Here's Jeezy's Interesting Reaction to T.I.'s Comments About Women Being President

Things are getting a little too politically correct for him.

Now more than ever, the words and sentiments hip hop artists utter are under the microscope. Rappers are politicians to some and what they say carries weight (Kanye 2020, right?)

Recently sitting down with Billboard, Jeezy, who recently threw his support behind Hillary Clinton for the 2016 presidency, spoke about political correctness just after the release of his Politically Correct EP from early last month.

“I think [music is too politically correct],” he said when asked about TIP’s recent comments about women becoming president. “When I’m on my ignant s**t, I’m just on my ignant s**t. [However], I just don’t naturally say things that are gonna put me in a situation that I don’t want to be in. You gotta say things that you want to stand behind. Barack don’t talk crazy, and if he does we’ll never hear it.”

The Atlanta rapper was also asked to gauge the success of Barack Obama’s two terms in office. He says he did well enough for what was thrown at him but people should wait until after he leaves the White House to judge his legacy.

“He did alright for a situation that was all the way messed up,” he explained. “I think we’re all gonna have to wait until he’s out of the office to see how much of a difference he made. He got a little less than a year left. He’s gotta turn up, man.”

Jeezy is slated to release his forthcoming album, Church in These Streets on November 13. The LP will be his sixth solo effort and is due out on Def Jam.
